Oregon dominates the car activities this month:

 

Com­ing up this week­end — March 15–17 is the 57th edi­tion of the Port­land Road­ster Show. The Mult­nom­ah Hot Rod Coun­cil, made of up Port­land area car clubs, pro­duces one of the old­est and prob­a­bly the best road­ster show in the coun­try.  Held at the Port­land Expo Cen­ter, over 400 exam­ples of cus­tom auto­mo­tive crafts­man­ship will be on dis­play along with cele­br­ties, ven­dors and the NAPA after­mar­ket road­show display.

 

Leg­ends George Bar­ris, known through­out the world for his leg­endary tele­vi­sion and movie cars, and John D’Agosti­no with his most beau­ti­ful 1956 Packard cus­tom “The Caribbean” will be at the show.

 

Port­land Road­ster Show tra­di­tion con­tin­ues with the High School Chal­lenge and Schol­ar­ship con­test fea­tur­ing a col­lec­tion win­ners of high school stu­dents contests.

23rd Annu­al Pacif­ic NW Mod­el Fest pre­sent­ed by the Scale Auto Builders Asso­ci­a­tion of Port­land fea­tures both a Swap Meet and Mod­el Car Fest Show on Sat­ur­day, March 30. This is a non-com­pet­i­tive gath­er­ing of auto mod­el­ers from through­out the north­west. All kinds of auto build­ing styles and sub­jects are wel­come at this event. By pop­u­lar vote, “Peo­ples Choice” awards will be giv­en to a both a junior and an adult winner.

This year’s Theme is: “CORVETTES” “60 years and 6 gen­er­a­tions”. Mod­el­ers are invit­ed to bring and show a mod­el of any car that meets this theme. Mod­el­ers can also enter mod­els not match­ing the theme.  Pacif­ic NW Mod­el Car Fest is being held at the Hol­i­day Inn –Port­land Air­port. Read More

 

The up and com­ng Eugene Road­ster Show takes place March 30–31 at Lane Events Cen­ter in down­town Eugene. Space still avail­able for entrants. Fea­tur­ing some of the best road­sters, cus­toms and hot rods in Oregon.

Kamloops Easter Parade features fun, food and great show.

The Kam­loops Chap­ter of the Vin­tage Car Club of Cana­da parades through Kam­loops, B.C. for the 43rd year on March 31 as part of the Annu­al East­er Parade. Over 100 cars plus fire trucks, key­stone kops and more join the parade end­ing with a car show at the River­side Park in Kamloops.

Kam­loops is north­east of Van­cou­ver, B.C. in the heart of British Colum­bia on the way to Glac­i­er Nation­al Park, about six hours from Seat­tle.  Read More.

Regret­fully, word comes that long-run­ning and pop­u­lar Spokane Auto Boat Speed Show has been can­celled. The show was slat­ed for March 29–31. A group of Spokane car enthu­si­asts are hop­ing to bring it back in 2014.

Also can­celled is the Con­cours D’ Ele­gance at the Vil­lage Green Resort & Gar­dens - Cot­tage Grove, OR orig­i­nal­ly sched­uled on August 18, 2013 — Details at Cot­tage Grove Con­cours.
