Oregon dominates the car activities this month:
Coming up this weekend — March 15–17 is the 57th edition of the Portland Roadster Show. The Multnomah Hot Rod Council, made of up Portland area car clubs, produces one of the oldest and probably the best roadster show in the country. Held at the Portland Expo Center, over 400 examples of custom automotive craftsmanship will be on display along with celebrties, vendors and the NAPA aftermarket roadshow display.
Legends George Barris, known throughout the world for his legendary television and movie cars, and John D’Agostino with his most beautiful 1956 Packard custom “The Caribbean” will be at the show.
Portland Roadster Show tradition continues with the High School Challenge and Scholarship contest featuring a collection winners of high school students contests.
23rd Annual Pacific NW Model Fest presented by the Scale Auto Builders Association of Portland features both a Swap Meet and Model Car Fest Show on Saturday, March 30. This is a non-competitive gathering of auto modelers from throughout the northwest. All kinds of auto building styles and subjects are welcome at this event. By popular vote, “Peoples Choice” awards will be given to a both a junior and an adult winner.
This year’s Theme is: “CORVETTES” “60 years and 6 generations”. Modelers are invited to bring and show a model of any car that meets this theme. Modelers can also enter models not matching the theme. Pacific NW Model Car Fest is being held at the Holiday Inn –Portland Airport. Read More
The up and comng Eugene Roadster Show takes place March 30–31 at Lane Events Center in downtown Eugene. Space still available for entrants. Featuring some of the best roadsters, customs and hot rods in Oregon.
Todd’s Auto Body is sponsoring Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater
The Eugene Roadster Show, instead of class judging, honors the “Favorite Few” and recognize the remaining entries with a “Participation Award” and awards the Sweepstakes Winner, and Peoples Choice. Read More.
Kamloops Easter Parade features fun, food and great show.
The Kamloops Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada parades through Kamloops, B.C. for the 43rd year on March 31 as part of the Annual Easter Parade. Over 100 cars plus fire trucks, keystone kops and more join the parade ending with a car show at the Riverside Park in Kamloops.
Kamloops is northeast of Vancouver, B.C. in the heart of British Columbia on the way to Glacier National Park, about six hours from Seattle. Read More.

BULLETIN:
Regretfully, word comes that long-running and popular Spokane Auto Boat Speed Show has been cancelled. The show was slated for March 29–31. A group of Spokane car enthusiasts are hoping to bring it back in 2014.
Also cancelled is the Concours D’ Elegance at the Village Green Resort & Gardens - Cottage Grove, OR originally scheduled on August 18, 2013 — Details at Cottage Grove Concours.
