The 10th Annu­al KODL CAR SHOW is Sat­ur­day, April 27 in down­town The Dalles. Over 100 cars expect­ed plus great weath­er, break­fast, lunch and

Entrants com­pete for tro­phies and plaques.  All entrants receive dash plates, and gift bags.

The car show is part of the 34th Annu­al Cher­ry Fes­ti­val fea­tur­ing parade, music, enter­tain­ment and ven­dors. More info at 541–296-2101

Nation­al Col­lec­tor Car Appre­ci­a­tion Day is July 12. Stay tuned for spe­cial announce­ment on how you and your club can par­tic­i­pate in your community.

Almost every­one knows the name Harold E. LeMay. Not every­one knows there are TWO facil­i­ties named after the late col­lec­tor. The LeMay Fam­i­ly Col­lec­tion Foun­da­tion con­tin­ues at Mary­mount Events Cen­ter in south Taco­ma with over 500 cars avail­able see plus many events all year.

The LeMay Muse­um, also referred to as LeMay-Ame­ica’s Car Muse­um, is the new edi­fice locat­ed in Taco­ma adja­cent to the Taco­ma Dome just off I‑5.

You can spend a ter­rif­ic week­end in Taco­ma on June 1 and June 2 — and take in events at both locations

Jun 1 —  LeMay Amer­i­ca’s Car Muse­um Annu­al Gala plus the muse­um is also open for dai­ly tours. “Cel­e­brate LeMay ‑Amer­i­ca’s Car Muse­um’s First Anniver­sary!” by par­tic­i­pat­ing in the Gala, or join the thou­sands who vis­it the muse­um every day.

Jun 2 — LeMay Fam­i­ly Col­lec­tion at Mary­mount hosts the new Lucky Col­lec­tor Truck Auc­tion with vin­tage trucks and col­lec­tor cars, trucks and motor­cy­cles. Mary­mount is also open dai­ly for tours.

Plan to vis­it the Club Cor­ner for the vin­tage motor­cy­cles exhi­bi­tion from June 1–29, plus the All-Club Mary­mount Motor­cy­cle Show with over 200 clas­sic, Antique & Spe­cial Inter­est motor­cy­cles from the 1900’s through the 1980’s  pre­sent­ed by the Vin­tage Motor­cy­cle Enthu­si­asts. Open show runs from June 9 through June 16.

Truck enthusiasts: Mark your calendars for these unique events:

 

The Amer­i­can Truck His­tor­i­cal Soci­ety’s Antique Truck Show and Nation­al Con­ven­tion will be host­ed by the Yaki­ma ATHS Chap­ter May 30-June 1. Details at ATHS.

On Sun­day, June 2, LeMay Fam­i­ly Col­lec­tion at Mary­mount will host the Lucky Car Auc­tion with the first ever antique truck auc­tion.  Truck own­ers will be com­ing from all over the US.

 

 

Since Harold LeMay was famous for his love of trucks, in addi­tion to the cars, this is a nat­ur­al fit and will be a great oppor­tu­ni­ty to see not only the LeMay trucks, but many more. Details of the auc­tion avail­able soon at Lucky Car Auc­tions.

Vin­tage Motor­cy­cle Enthu­si­asts will be pre­sent­ing the  Inau­gur­al “Mary­mount Motor­cy­cle Show” on June 10–16 (last day of show  is Father’s Day).  Over 200 vin­tage motor­cy­cles to be  dis­played for the dura­tion of the show with a road run and show ‘n’ shine on Sat­ur­day.
