Pacific Northwest Historics Lead July Events

Mustangs-Cantrell-1[SOVREN] 1969 Boss 302 driven by Tom Cantrell

The 2014 SOVREN Pacific Northwest Historics run this weekend, July 4-6, starting off the month of July with a plenty of automotive excitement. Just the thing to put you in the mood for Independence Day!

The weekend promises to be the vintage thrill of the year —  three days of vintage racing at Pacific Raceways, in Kent, WA. Friday, July 4 sees a half day of racing, Saturday and Sunday each offer a full day of racing for vintage sports and formula cars.

Ford’s legendary Mustang is the featured marque this year and several of the fastest road Mustangs in the Northwest will be on track, testing themselves against very fast Corvettes, Camaros, and other muscle cars of the late 60’s. A full slate of races will feature a wide range of sports and formula cars from the 50s right through the late 80s.    As a special guest, legendary oval, road, and off-road driver Parnelli Jones will be honored. He will make appearances and sign autographs each day.

This is the 27th edition of this very popular event which benefits Seattle’s Children’s Hospital. Tickets are available at the gate or online at Northwest historics.com.
